For ships or land vehicles in design. DEFENSA detects, corrects and heals all forms of network anomalies regardless if they are triggered by a component failure or cyberattack. It reliably heals all anomalies in real-time without any assistance from a cloud-based security operation center (SOC) which can take hours, days or even weeks to provide a resolution. Furthermore, it does not suffer from false positives or negatives which is a common limitation of machine learning systems.
DEFENSA is built for single or multiple buses, and proprietary CAN, NM2K, J1939 or Ethernet networks.
DEFENSA Embedded utilizes our proprietary algorithm which, when designed in to safeguard a system and run co-resident on the onboard platforms, will dynamically assign, revoke, and reassign application authority to heal anomalies in real-time whether created by a critical failure or cyberattack. The degree of application resiliency DEFENSA Embedded achieves provides the level desired for true automotive and military vehicle cyber resiliency, and also true autonomous system reliability for vehicles and marine vessels
DEFENSA has two deployment options that heal marine vessels or land vehicles from cyberattacks in real-time.
The DEFENSA Inline appliance option can be easily and affordably added to marine vessels already in use. DEFENSA Embedded (software-only) is designed to co-reside on specific ECUs (Electronic Control Units) in those vessels/vehicles still in design.
DEFENSA Inline is a combined hardware/software solution where small hardware devices running DEFENSA software are deployed inline throughout a ship’s networks. Also, our gateway device connects these installed appliances to our onboard OAM (operations, administration, and management) console which is used to setup, administer, and manage the deployed devices across all the ship’s networks.
DEFENSA Embedded is a software-only solution that is deployed on ECUs or other network devices on the ship or vehicle that is still in its design phase. DEFENSA can simply be co-located on an ECU to detect, correct, and heal cyberattacks (similar to DEFENSA Inline), or it can be designed-in at the system level to assign, revoke, and reassign application authority to achieve dynamic fault tolerance and application resiliency.
